In our most recent lessons we have been bringing together our piece on world war 1, our piece will be performed around the school and the audience will move around with us watching separate performances.
It starts at a dance/tea party where a group of couples are waltzing and everyone else is enjoying the dancing and drinking tea.
Gradually all the men leave for war and the women are left dancing on their own. they then sing the song 'pack up your troubles' the women are feeling extremely sad because all their husbands/sons/ brothers are gone and they don't know what might happen to them.
They then sing a more upbeat version to represent them getting on with things and making the best of their situation. I think the progress made in these last couple of weeks is great.
